In early 1992, Dick Cowan took his fiancee,
Susan Farinelli, to her first murder mystery. It was love at first death!
Dick and Susan married in the spring of 1992. Susan, a health
care professional and consultant, decided that it would be fun to write her own murder mystery for a Halloween
party in the fall of 1994. Dick, a salesman for a company that manufactures restaurant seating and decor has
used his computer skills to design invitations and do all the computer work necessary to pull off a successful
party. Dick is also the webmaster of the Mystery Adventures web site. Our first "Murder" was originally
written for 26 people but ended up to be a party for 36 in the Cowan's home. It was such a success that our
friends pushed for another and another and another! By now the parties had grown to fifty guests and we had to
rent a larger location and arrange for catering. Each of these was a full participation party, directed and
organized by both Susan and Dick.
In 1997, Dick and Susan's Mystery Adventures became a limited
liability company. More by word of mouth than by any advertising, Susan and Dick began planning and giving
parties for various companies. All of them have been great successes with request for seconds and thirds! Some
of the party pictures can be seen on this web site.
It is the desire of Mystery Adventures that each of the murder
mystery parties provide a full evening of fantastic fun! Dick and Susan have spent an enormous amount of time
trying to make each one memorable. These parties can serve as a great team builder for companies and will be a
memorable evening for all participants.
